TYGR A DRAK je epický milostný příběh zasazený do staré Číny. Krásný a silný Li Mu Bai je jedním z nejlepších mistrů nejvyššího bojového umění své doby. V tajném výcvikovém táboře potkává dávnou přítelkyní Shu Lien. Kdysi v boji zabil jejího snoubence, ale náklonnost mezi nimi je vzájemná. Li požádá Shu Lien, která pokračuje v cestě do Pekingu, aby předala jeho meč, legendární Green Destiny (Zelený osud), do rukou pana Tche, respektovaného vůdce a přítele Shu Lienina otce. Li chce tímto gestem začít po letech bojů novou životní etapu. Odchází do hor poklonit se památce dávného mistra, kterého před lety otrávila kriminálnice Jade Fox. Mezi tím se Shu Lien setkává v Pekingu s dcerou guvernéra krásnou Jen, která je obdivovatelkou způsobu života, jakým žije Shu Lien. Krátce na to je posvátný meč z domu pana Tche ukraden a způsob ukazuje na styl Jade Fox.

Jeho hrdinkou je nádherná princezna Kaguja, kterou jednoho dne jako maličkou najde muž v zářícím stonku bambusu. Donese ji domů a se svou ženou začne dívku, které rychle roste v neodolatelnou krásku, vychovávat jako vlastní. Tajemná princezna, která je zřejmě nadpozemského původu, uchvacuje každého, s kým se setkává, avšak události se dají do pohybu a ukazuje se, že se dívka musí konfrontovat s trestem za své provinění.

For the 'Are'are people of the Solomon Islands, the most valued music is that of the four types of panpipe ensembles. With the exception of slit drums, all musical instruments are made of bamboo; therefore the general word for instruments and the music performed with them is "bamboo" ('au). This film shows the making of panpipes, from the cutting the bamboo in the forest to the making of the final bindings. The most important part of the work consists in shaping each tube to its necessary length. Most 'Are'are panpipe makers measure the length of old instruments before they shape new tubes. Master musician 'Irisipau, surprisingly, takes the measure using his body, and adjusts the final tuning by ear. For the first time we can see here how the instruments and their artificial equiheptatonic scale-seven equidistant degrees in an octave-are practically tuned.

A group of men in North-Eastern Bangladesh are facing a dangerous mission. They are to conquer the river, with a 70 meter long raft. The ride is 300 kilometre long, always downstream. The freight: 25 000 bamboo trees. The men's path begins in the dense forests of the Sylhet region in North-Eastern Bangladesh. Millions of bamboo trunks are hacked down there and being slid down by the workers along the dangerous mountain-stream into the valley. The bamboos reach the river Kushiara through hundreds of these channels. Here, the trunks are bundled - a giant raft arises. Then the long journey begins.
