Über The Man Who Killed Don Quixote diskutieren

Some will call it a masterpiece and a piece of art while others will call it utter trash. Personally I lean way more to the latter option, and I found it utterly boring and nonsensical and it seemed like it was trying really hard to deliver a profound message that it ultimately never manages to deliver.

I totally agree. I currently find myself in the latter category, except that I found it too entertaining in and of itself to call it trash. I've put it in my "aimed high and missed" bucket, right next to Ang Lee's Hulk film. I'm planning to reread the book before it gets to streaming, as I suspected as I watched that I was missing quite a few things. I may then be able to put it in the former category - Gilliam hasn't disappointed me yet.

Also in the latter category. I found it quite intolerable. The comedy was rarely amusing and mostly annoying, while the performances are such caricatures they began to grate within minutes.

I liked it, but less than other films from Gilliam. Has a few good moments ...Is a pretty strange film, no doubt
