A Danny Boyle 007 film would have been even worse than Quantum of Crap.

I think this is now the perfect time to fire Daniel Craig too and bring back Bond!

I've cooled down slightly since I got the notification on my phone. F*ck me.

Boyle better have not created this mess from a drunk rant or something. Hope it is ingrained in his whole approach to B25. BUT how does that make sense then? He and Hodge presented the script and all Craig and the Broccolis said was positive. So it couldn't have been the script itself. Possibly the fact that he wants a small budget... But that's common knowledge. How do they get this far before finding creative differences WTF.

They need to bring back Martin Campbell.

Boyle on making a Bond film:

March 2018

Speaking at a Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts masterclass, Boyle said: "I like watching big films but I don't think I'm necessarily good at making them. Then I thought, 'No, you shouldn't think like that. The unknown is exciting. The fear is very important. If you repeat yourself you don't ask yourself enough questions, you don't feel the fear about what you're doing because you feel you know what you're doing."

"We have this idea," he added, "about what we want to do with Bond and I felt we should have a go because of this idea. So we are trying to stay true to our principles."

His comments don't inspire confidence. Perhaps he couldn't handle the size of the film and decided it was better to leave now rather than stay on and make a mess of it?

Did you just read this off MI6 like I did lol?

But many of us heard this when Boyle was first quoted. Everyone knew about the hesitation for large budget filmmaking and shooting in foreign countries etc.

You could say that this film has gone off the Boyle.

Thankyouverymuch, I' m here all week.

Agree 100 million %.

Now the reason for him leaving as director is apparently because of a disagreement about the lead villain. Better not be the sole reason... Would be odd if that were the only problem between Boyle and the producers.

Sometimes directors who jump outside their element direct great films. Not always but there are those exceptions.
