Harutora gehört zum Tsuchimikado-Klan und soll ein Yin-Yang-Meister werden. Jedoch will er lieber ein ruhiges Leben auf dem Land führen. Eines Tages wird seine Welt durch einen Vorfall auf den Kopf gestellt.

Als Hokuto sieht, wie Harutora von dem fremden Mädchen geküsst wird, rennt sie weinend davon. Harutora versucht ihr die Sache noch zu erklären, aber ohne Erfolg.

Harutora hat erfahren, dass Hokuto ein Shikigami war. Zusammen mit Natsume will er den Altar beschützen und Hokutos Tod rächen.

Tōji und Harutora treten in die Yin-Yang-Schule ein. Dort kommen sie direkt in Natsumes Klasse. Harutora muss schnell herausfinden, dass der Unterricht dort kein Spaziergang ist.

Kyōko fordert Harutora zu einem Shikigami-Kampf heraus. Jedoch kämpft Harutora Seite an Seite mit seinem Shikigami.

Harutora und Natsume haben einen Tag Pause vom ganzen Lernen und gehen nach draußen, um ein wenig zu shoppen.

Die Praxisprüfung der angehenden Yin-Yang-Meister beginnt. Während der Prüfung kommt es jedoch zu einem Zwischenfall.

Tōji kann den Oger, der in ihm haust, nicht mehr kontrollieren. Er beginnt sich zu manifestieren und Tōji ist vollkommen machtlos.

Natsume und Harutora versuchen zusammen mit Kogure, die Nue zu erledigen. Das stellt sich schwieriger heraus, als sie gedacht haben.

Für Harutora und Natsume beginnt das zweite Jahr an der Yin-Yang-Schule. Besonders Harutora und Tōji freuen sich schon auf die Neulinge.

Suzuka gehört zum neuen Jahrgang an der Yin-Yang-Schule.Sie macht Natsume und Harutora das Leben schwer.

Harutoras Klasse macht einen Ausflug zu einem Trainingslager, wo sie ihre Künste weiter verfeinern sollen. Auch Suzuka wird von Ohtomo gebeten, sie zu begleiten.
