The story follows the two titular women Escha and Chron, whose contrasting personalities are like the sun and moon. The two women are from Terminal, a future post-apocalyptic world that's empty and monochrome. The two women cross worlds and arrive in the present day, which they call Transit. As Escha and Chron experience the light (scenery) and sound (music) of the real world, the future world of Terminal gradually changes into a more vivid world.

L'histoire nous entraîne dans le quotidien de deux femmes nommées respectivement Escha et Chron qui vivent dans un endroit appelé « Terminal », un monde post-apocalyptique futuriste vide et monochrome. Ces deux personnes traversent les mondes pour se retrouver dans le présent, ici baptisé « Transit ». Elles doivent redonner la lumière (le paysage) et le son (la musique) de ce monde pour que le Terminal retrouve son éclat d'antan.

이야기는 해와 달처럼 대조적인 성격을 지닌 두 명의 주인공 여성 에샤와 크론을 따라 전개된다. 두 여성은 종말 이후의 텅 빈 흑백의 미래 세계인 터미널 출신이다. 두 여성은 세계를 가로질러 현재에 도착하고, 그곳을 트랜짓이라고 부른다. 에샤와 크론이 현실 세계의 빛(풍경)과 소리(음악)를 경험하면서 터미널의 미래 세계는 점점 더 생생한 세계로 변해 간다.

在2016年7月举办的动画关联活动“『D－World』vol.0”上公开的朗读剧《ESCHA CHRON》确定将动画化。本作由水岛精二担任总监督，高桥龙也担任脚本，水无月彻担任角色原案，由Lerche制作动画。此外，声优阵容中安济知佳配音艾丝卡，安野希世乃配音克萝恩。

La storia segue le due ragazze titolari Escha e Chron, le cui personalità contrastanti sono come il sole e la luna. Le due ragazze vengono da Terminal, un futuro mondo post-apocalittico vuoto e monocromatico. Le due ragazze attraversano mondi e arrivano nel presente, che chiamano Transit. Mentre Escha e Chron sperimentano la luce (scenario) e il suono (musica) del mondo reale, il mondo futuro di Terminal cambia gradualmente in un mondo più vivido.
