Dit nieuwe project werd uitgevoerd om 10 jaar Code Geass-saga te vieren. Het verhaal volgt de plot van de samenvattingsfilms en negeert daarom bepaalde aspecten van de serie die daar niet zijn getranscribeerd. Het verhaal begint een paar maanden na de dood van Lelouch, in een wereld die eindelijk vrede heeft. In ieder geval qua uiterlijk. Tijdens een diplomatiek bezoek aan Zilkistan, een woestijnkoninkrijk, worden Zero en Nunnally plotseling aangevallen en ontvoerd.
De film gaat verder waar Evangelion 1.0 stopte: de paramilitaire organisatie NERV verdedigt de wereld tegen de terugkeer van de Angels, maar de voortdurende oorlog begint zijn tol te heffen. Shinji Ikari's relatief plezierige leventje krijgt een wending als een nieuwe groep Evangelion pilots, waarbij de roodharige Asuka Langley Shikinami, hem en Rei Ayanami komen bijstaan.
Op Aarde is ruim 95% van de mensheid omgekomen. De overgebleven 5% proberen met behulp van gigantische robots de Aarde (voornamelijk Japan) te verdedigen tegen aanvallen van de gevaarlijke Angels.
De legendarische Power Rangers moeten de gemene ruimtepiraat Divatox zien te stoppen, die op een of andere manier ontsnapt is uit zijn gevangenis in de vulkaan Muranthias. De Rangers zullen het uiterste uit hun nieuwe Turbo-krachten en Turbo-zords moeten halen om Divatox tegen te houden.
Na afloop van de Derde Wereldoorlog is elke vorm van oorlog met frontsoldaten verboden en de conflicten worden nu uitgevochten met gigantische robots, bestuurd door de allerbeste piloten. Achilles is zo een toppiloot en moet op een gegeven moment de strijd aanbinden met een robot van de vijand om uit te maken wie heerschappij over de staat Alaska krijgt.
Robot Carnival bestaat uit een reeks van 9 korte, met elkaar verbonden animatiefilmpjes getekend door verschillende toonaangevende Japanse animatoren. Alle filmpjes hebben als overeenkomst dat ze over robots gaan en dat er geen dialoog in voor komt.
De aflevering zal zich richten op de jonge Zeon-topman Char Aznable die zijn 'Red Comet'-nom de guerre verdient, evenals op het begin van het wapenproject 'Project V' van de Federatie dat uiteindelijk de RX-78-2 Gundam zal opleveren.

Zeon Zum Deikun attempts to declare complete independence of Munzo from the Earth Federation Government, while he preaches the evolutionary potential of humans who have advanced into outer space. Deikun however suddenly falls to his death in the middle of his speech at parliament. Upon Deikun's death, Jimba Ral spreads word of a House of Zabi conspiracy - but despite such efforts the power and sphere of influence of House of Zabi, led by Degwin Sodo Zabi, only seem to escalate.
