Παράλληλα και όσο η Ναν βρίσκεται φυλακισμένη, ένας θρησκευτικός/πολιτικός ηγέτης ο οποίος προωθεί την ατζέντα της πάταξης του εγκλήματος, όντας βαθειά ερωτευμένος μαζί της, προσπαθεί με τον τρόπο του να την σώσει, αλλά η όμορφη λησταρχίνα διατηρεί την προκατάληψή της απέναντι στον "ίσιο δρόμο" και αρνείται πεισματικά ακόμη και να τον δει.
