Zgodba se začne z Noahovim prihodom v bolniško sobo. Noah je star 80 let in je prišel obiskat Allie, ki ima Alzheimerjevo bolezen. Na njeno željo ji začne pripovedovati zgodbo, ki se je dogajala pred 49 leti, ko se je Allie vrnila v New Bern, da bi poiskala Noaha. Dogodki se prepletajo in Noah takrat ugotovi, da čustva do Allie še niso zamrla. Prav tako se svojih čustev zave Allie, a ker je zaročena, poskuša svoja čustva do Noaha zatreti. "Vlada Goes to London" is a short student film exploring the strong-willed Vlada on her night shift as a pizza delivery girl in her desperate attempt to book tickets to London and fulfill her dream of being a DJ. The end of the night brings more challenges than she expects.

The battle of the sexes as drawing room social satire. Philippe, a middle-aged newspaper editor, has lived for six years with Paulette, a successful stage actress. He tells her friend Claudine, a realistic and enterprising reporter, that he's thinking of proposing. Into the mix steps Carl Erickson, a charming Hollywood matinée idol in Paris briefly. He meets Paulette, sees her act (his box seat compliments of Philippe), and sets out to seduce her. The next two days bring talk, tears, separation, despair, surprises, and, perhaps, reconciliation as characters speak "exactly half the truth." It's a quadrille of changing partners.

One spring night, Ana falls into a permanent sleep. Her mother Irene and her little sister Ayleen witness each other's loneliness as they interact with the sleeping body and discover a distance that was previously imperceptible.

In the film we find some scrap of slow motion they see a Monica Vitti trying to cry, a meeting between Antonioni and Grifi, a film shot in the concentration camp of Auschwitz with a survivor who recounts those awful moments, a glimpse of Palestine today, Grifi's reflections on the prison.

This short film is part of a mixed media artwork of the same name, which also included postcards of Ader crying, sent to friends of his, with the title of the work as a caption. The film was initially ten minutes long, and included Ader rubbing his eyes to produce the tears, but was cut down to three and a half minutes. This shorter version captures Ader at his most anguished. His face is framed closely. There is no introduction or conclusion, no reason given and no relief from the anguish that is presented.
