Skruzdėliukas Z-4195 buvo tik viena iš milijono skruzdžių. Patys suprantate, kokie buvo vargšelio šansai susipažinti su nuostabiąja princese Bala, kurią drovusis Skruzdėliukas Z jau seniai slapta mylėjo. Tačiau jausmas buvo toks stiprus, jog mažasis herojus ryžosi lengvai nepasiduoti. Pasipiktinęs sustabarėjusia skruzdėlyno luomine santvarka, Skruzdėliukas Z kreipėsi pagalbos į skruzdę – kareivį Vyverį, geriausią savo draugą, kad šis jam padėtų patekti pas princesę. Nelauktai Z gyvenimas visiškai pasikeičia – iš paprasto darbininko jis tampa skruzdžių kolonijos didvyriu. Pats to nenorėdamas, jis sukliudo generolui Mandibliui įgyvendinti savo baisų planą: sunaikinti koloniją ir vėl atkurti ją tokią, kokia patiktų tik pačiam ambicingajam generolui. Niekam iki tol nežinomas Skruzdėliukas Z tampa skruzdėlyno revoliucijos vadu, o jo neįtikėtini nuotykiai tik prasideda…

Gydytojas pasiūlo jam atlikti plastinę veido operaciją, o žavioji Sofia prisipažįsta jį mylinti. Tačiau netrukus blogi bei nenuspėjami dalykai ir vėl prasideda. Deividas lieka vienas ir dar apkaltintas žmogžudyste.
