Το Kick-Ass αφηγείται την ιστορία ενός συνηθισμένου εφήβου, του Ντέιβ Λιζέφσκι (Άαρον Τζόνσον), κολλημένου με τα κόμικς, που αποφασίζει να κάνει την εμμονή του… έμπνευση και να γίνει σούπερ-ήρωας. Και όπως κάθε σούπερ-ήρωας που σέβεται τον εαυτό του, διαλέγει όνομα - Kick-Ass - τη στολή και τη μάσκα που του ταιριάζουν και ξεκινάει να πολεμάει το έγκλημα. Υπάρχει μόνο ένα μικρο-πρόβλημα: ο Kick-Ass δεν έχει απολύτως καμία δύναμη. Η ζωή του αλλάζει διαπαντός όταν θα συναντηθεί με δυο τρελαμένους εκδικητές, την Hit Girl (Κλόι Μόρετζ) και τον Big Daddy (Νίκολας Κέιτζ) και έναν εκκολαπτόμενο υπερήρωα, τον Red Mist (Κρίστοφερ Μιντζ-Πλας). Η ανορθόδοξη συμμαχία των τεσσάρων θα δοκιμαστεί, με αφορμή τις παράνομες δραστηριότερες του τοπικού αρχηγού της Μαφίας, Φρανκ Ντ΄Αμίκο (Μάρκ Στρονγκ).

Η Ρόουζ δεν μπορεί να δεχτεί το γεγονός ότι η κόρη της Σάρον πεθαίνει από μια θανατηφόρα ασθένεια. Φεύγουν μαζί σε αναζήτηση ενός θεραπευτή, καταλήγουν όμως στη μυστηριώδη και έρημη πόλη που ονομάζεται "Silent Hill". Η μικρή Σάρον εξαφανίζεται και η μητέρα της την αναζητά απεγνωσμένα. Στην πορεία, θα ανακαλύψει ότι η πόλη κατοικείται από διάφορα πλάσματα και πυκνό σκοτάδι. Τα ανθρώπινα όντα που έχουν απομείνει είναι παγιδευμένα και παλεύουν με το σκοτάδι. Με τη βοήθεια ενός αστυνομικού, η Ρόουζ ψάχνει να βρει τη μικρή, ενώ παράλληλα μαθαίνει περισσότερα για την ιστορία της πόλης και ότι η κόρη της είναι πιόνι σε ένα άκρως επικίνδυνο παιχνίδι.
