De jonge fotograaf Tun en z'n vriendin Jane rijden per ongeluk een vrouw aan op straat. De vrouw overlijdt aan haar verwondingen en Thun en Jane ontvluchten de plaats van het ongeluk. Een tijd later komt Thun een mysterieuze schaduw tegen op een van zijn foto's. Hij gaat ervan uit dat het gewoon een slechte foto is. De schaduwen blijven echter opduiken en Thun merkt op dat de vorm van de schaduw wel erg lijkt op het gezicht van de vrouw die hij had aangereden.
Wanneer de jonge Duitse scholier Michael Berg op weg naar school ten val komt, wordt hij geholpen door tramconductrice Hanna.
