Arctic Air is about a Yellowknife-based maverick airline and the unconventional family who runs it. The owners are Mel Ivarson, an old school bush pilot; Krista Ivarson, Mel's daughter; and Bobby Martin, the son of Ivarson's deceased partner. Episodes focus on interpersonal conflicts between the characters as well as dramatic flying missions with their aging fleet of Douglas DC-3s, de Havilland Canada DHC-3 Otters and other aircraft. Each episode has one or more flying missions.

The series was canceled on March 17, 2014, due to government budgetary cuts

The series starred Roy Marsden as Jack Ruskin, a pilot demobbed after the end of the Second World War who starts up his own air freight business.

Airline was created by Wilfred Greatorex and lasted for one series of nine episodes broadcast in January & February 1982, with a repeat in the summer of 1984. Other leading cast members were Polly Hemingway, Richard Heffer, Sean Scanlan and Terence Rigby, while noted guest-stars included Anthony Valentine and Walter Gotell.

It was partially filmed at the former RAF Rufforth in Yorkshire..

Mile High is a British television drama based on the lives of the cabin crew members of Fresh!, a budget airline based in London. The name of the show comes from the "Mile High Club". The show was broadcast on Sky1 from 2003 to 2005 and subsequently aired again on Sky Three. In 2012, CBS Drama obtained the rights to the series and began to re-run it from the beginning.
