Zordon ármánykodásának köszönhetően a kis Szimba életveszélyes helyzetbe kerül: a kiszáradt folyómederben egy megvadult bivalycsorda előtt találja magát, és csak édesapja önfeláldozó bátorságának köszönhetően éli túl a helyzetet. Apja azonban már nem tud kitérni a csorda elől, és Musafát halálra tapossák...Szimba nem maradhat többé szülőhelyén, ahol Zordon azonnal magához ragadja a hatalmat...

Száva és Hómancs elindulnak, hogy megtalálják a lovagot, ám ehhez keresztül kell verekedniük magukat a gonosz három fejű majomkirálynő, Mama Jozee hadseregén.
