'Allied' volgt een Britse geheimagent, Max Vatan genaamd, die in 1942 op een gevaarlijke missie wordt gestuurd in Noord-Afrika. Daar ontmoet hij vervolgens een Franse verzetsstrijdster op vijandelijk gebied.

Juni, 1942. Het Britse leger laat na het terugtrekken van een strijd tegen de winnende Duitser Rommel een eenzame soldaat, John Bramble, achter bij de Egyptische grens. Hij vindt bij een hotel onderdak. Al snel komen de Duitsers en is hij geneigd om een geheime identiteit aan te nemen.

Rahatlocum is een Noord-Afrikaanse Romeinse kolonie waar Julius Caesar een dure vakantie komt doorbrengen. De opstand rommelt onder het kleine volk dat een leider vindt in de persoon van Ben-Hur Marcel.

1957. Ali is een dief die zich aansluit bij het Front de libération nationale (FLN). Dit Nationaal Bevrijdingsfront strijdt voor een vrij Algerije, onafhankelijk van het Franse kolonialisme. De Franse overheersers nemen echter steeds drastischer maatregelen tegen het FLN, wat al snel een landelijke revolutie ontketent.

De zoon van een Franse kolonialist in Algerije keert terug naar Algerije nadat hij heeft vernomen dat zijn vader ziek is. Herinneringen uit de kindertijd komen terug. Hij moet ook een aantal problemen aanpakken in verband met de Algerijnse onafhankelijkheidsstrijd.

Chants d’Automne (Song of Autumn), is a story of daily life on a colonial farm, at the start of the war of liberation in Algeria, describing individual and group behavior in this context. An unthinkable, even dangerous, romantic relationship, born in this context between Catherine, daughter of a settler, and Abdelmalek, son of a blacksmith. Managing his vast property in a feudal manner, Monsieur Marcel whose only ambition is his personal enrichment to the detriment of the community. Everyone fears his authority except his daughter Catherine, a student in France, who returns home during the holidays. She does not stop herself from expressing to him her ideas of justice which go against family and colonial practices. Catherine and Abdelmalek's romance makes relationships increasingly strained, but the call for freedom will be stronger than a woman's love.
