October 3, 1980

Filip buys an 8mm movie camera when his first child is born. Because it's the first camera in town, he's named official photographer by the local Party boss. His horizons widen when he is sent to regional film festivals with his first works but his focus on movie making also leads to domestic strife and philosophical dilemmas.

Voting against the Mafia in what he thinks is a secret ballot costs Sicilian laborer Mimi his livelihood. He leaves his wife, flees to Turin and romances a Communist organizer - but he just can’t shake the Mafia. When they lure Mimi back to Sicily with a better job, he must keep his lover – and love child – under wraps. That’s when his wife announces she’s pregnant.

A White enclave in Johannesburg, South Africa, in the 1960s. Molly Roth, 13 years old, is the daughter of leftist parents, and she must piece together what's happening around her when her father disappears one night, barely evading arrest, and, not long after, her mother is detained by the authorities. Some of Molly's White friends turn against her, and her family's friendships with Blacks take on new meaning. Relationships are fragile in the world of apartheid. How will she manage?

The film is about a Hindu Nair boy, Vinod, and a Muslim girl, Aisha, and the conflict arising out of this inter-faith relationship.

The three-hour-long documentary covers 25 years in the life of Nicolae Ceaușescu and was made using 1,000 hours of original footage from the National Archives of Romania.

A description of Romania before Ceausescu's downfall, through the story of Nela. Daughter of a former colonel of the Securitate, the romanian political police. She refused to become as her sister, an agent of this Securitate, and lives with her father. After he died, she leaves Bucharest, and ends up in a little town, where she meets Mitica, a surgeon, another herself, laughing of everything.

In 1948, decades after fleeing Armenia to the US as a child, Charlie returns in the hopes of finding a connection to his roots, but what he finds instead is a country crushed under Soviet rule. After being unjustly imprisoned, Charlie falls into despair, until he discovers that he can see into a nearby apartment from his cell window - the home of a prison guard.

The plot follows a private detective, an ex communist and former CIA agent, who travels from Barcelona to Madrid to discover the identity of the assassin of the leader of the Spanish Communist party who was stabbed during a blackout while presiding over a meeting of the party's central committee. The film is a thriller with ironic political overtones.

Neuveriteľný, ale pravdivý príbeh rozporuplnej osobnosti Zdeňka Tomana, vlastným menom Zoltána Goldbergera, pochádzajúceho zo slovenských Sobraniec. Toman bol mužom mnohých tvárí a mien, šéfom zahraničnej rozviedky a bezškrupulóznym obchodníkom a kariéristom. Poverili ho zásadnou úlohou - zohnať peniaze, ktoré komunistom vyhrajú voľby. A Toman peniaze zohnať vedel. Pre seba, pre rodinu i pre stranu. Šmelinou, vydieraním, obchodmi s vojnovými zločincami aj ich obeťami. Práve on umožnil presun východoeurópskych Židov, ktorí prežili holokaust a unikali pred povojnovými pogromami cez Československo do Palestíny - samozrejme za tučnú províziu. Neštítil sa ničoho. Cena, ktorú za svoju kariéru zaplatil on i jeho blízki, však bola príliš vysoká. Film odkrýva pozadie tzv. tretej republiky, rokov 1945-48 a rozpráva príbeh muža, ktorý významne ovplyvnil vývoj povojnového Československa a o ktorom sa nikdy doteraz nehovorilo.

The full-length television documentary, using currently found audio-visual records, tells the story of the fabricated political process from November 1952, the story of its victims and its masterminds. At its end, 11 executed high-ranking officials of the Communist Party of the Czech Republic, committed to the communist party, who mechanically "recited" memorized confessions and accusations of "accomplices", former friends and colleagues in front of the court in response to prearranged questions from the prosecutors and judges.

Československo, 1982. Totalitný režim sa zdá ako nekonečný a neukončiteľný. Antonín, príslušník tajnej polície, je vnútorne nepokojný, možno až psychopatický násilník, plný neartikulovaného hnevu a zúfalstva. Znudený všetkým okolo seba nasmeruje svojich démonov ku zdanlivo čistému, skôr ale neuchopiteľnému bodu - k mladej žene Kláre. Nie je to láska ani iný druh čistej vášne - iba spaľujúca túžba po ilúzii úteku z šedivej klietky a nudy. Antonínova nezmyselná snaha získať Kláru pre seba ho obracia nielen proti tradičným nepriateľom režimu, ale aj proti vlastným ľuďom a systému samotnému. Pokiaľ ale Antonín porušuje pravidlá organizácie, ktorej slúži, nie je to gesto občianske alebo dokonca politické - je to vzbura čisto osobná a zbesilá.

One of those transformed by Stan is filmmaker Susan Hess Logeais. The documentary utilizes Susan’s personal existential crisis as a gateway to Grof’s impact, from the micro to the macro.
