Quando il potere magico della tavola di Ahkmenrah comincia a morire, Larry deve intervenire per salvare la magia ed i suoi amici prima che sia troppo tardi, e così, i protagonisti di Una notte al museo attraversano l’Atlantico e da New York sbarcano a Londra, al British Museum.

Sono passati due anni e Larry Dailey (Ben Stiller) ha lasciato il museo di Storia Naturale, dove lavorava come guardiano notturno, ed è entrato nel mondo degli affari diventando un importante imprenditore. Durante una visita al museo scopre che tutte le ricostruzioni, tranne alcune più popolari quali Teddy Roosevelt (Robin Williams), Rexy lo scheletro del T-rex e la tavola d'oro del faraone Ahkmenrah, saranno sostituiti con degli ologrammi. In seguito Larry riceverà una allarmante richiesta di aiuto da parte di Jedediah (Owen Wilson) il quale, insieme alle altre figure del vecchio museo, sta resistendo contro il fratello maggiore del faraone incontrato nel primo episodio che si è risvegliato, insieme a tutti i personaggi trasferiti e all'intero museo "più grande del mondo" grazie ad uno scherzo di una simpatica scimmietta cappuccina..

T.S. Spivet (Kyle Catlett) è un bambino prodigio di 10 anni appassionato di cartografia e invenzioni. Vive in un ranch nel Montana insieme alla mamma (Helena Bonham Carter), esperta di morfologia degli insetti, al padre, cowboy nato nel periodo storico sbagliato, a sua sorella quattordicenne che sogna di diventare Miss America e a suo fratello gemello Layton. Un giorno T.S. riceve una telefonata inaspettata dall’Istituto Smithsonian che gli annuncia la vittoria del prestigioso premio Baird per la sua invenzione di un dispositivo dal moto perpetuo. All’insaputa di tutti, per ritirare il premio e tenere il discorso di ringraziamento, T.S. salta su un treno merci e intraprende il suo straordinario viaggio attraverso l’America in direzione Washington… ma allo Smithsonian tutti ignorano che T.S. è solo un bambino!

In 2018 Japan’s NHK television network was given unprecedented access to the Freer Gallery of Art’s collection of works by Katsushika Hokusai so they could film the details of paintings using a state-of-the-art 8K video camera. The resulting documentary is hosted by actor Iura Arata and features commentary from the James Ulak, former curator at the National Museum of Asian Art, and Tim Clark, former curator at the British Museum. It was announced today that a team of scholars has confirmed that a fourth century codex written in the ancient Egyptian Coptic language refers to the wife of Jesus. This is the first reference to Jesus being married that has been found in an ancient text, and while it is not evidence of the historical Jesus, it suggests some early Christians believed Jesus had a wife. Dr. Karen King, the Hollis Professor of Divinity at Harvard Divinity School, unveiled her findings today at the Tenth International Congress of Coptic Studies in Rome.
