Two live performances by Malice Mizer combined into a complete concert experience of the band’s third studio album "merveilles", filmed while on tour in 1998 at the Nippon Budōkan Hall (April 1) and Yokohama Arena (July 22) in Japan. The live video features an onstage cathedral set piece, theatrics, costume changes, and skits performed as openings/endings to songs. The final show of the merveilles ~Shuuen to Kisuu~ tour held July 22, 1998 at Yokohama Arena would be vocalist Gackt and drummer Kami’s last performance with Malice Mizer as during January of 1999 Gackt left the band and on June 21, 1999 Kami passed away in his sleep.
Bara ni Irodorareta Akui to Higeki no Makuake is a home video release of a two-day live concert played by Malice Mizer at the Nippon Budōkan hall in Japan on August 31 & September 1 in 2000, the first shows with lead vocalist Klaha. The band performed their fourth studio album, “Bara no Seidou” in its entirety using the gothic cathedral from the cover of the album as an enormous set piece alongside pyrotechnics and a choir of veiled nuns.
