Spetta alla protagonista cercare di ricordare cosa è realmente accaduto durante la permanenza nel bunker, estrapolando, con l'aiuto di una psicologa, la sconcertante verità celata nel suo inconscio. La trama trae ispirazione dall'omonimo romanzo di Guy Burt, e la trasposizione in chiave cinematografica risulta sorprendente.
