Vuonna 2029 mutantit ovat kuolemassa sukupuuttoon eikä uutta ole syntynyt 25 vuoteen. Wolverine eli Logan ajaa limusiinia Meksikon ja Yhdysvaltojen välillä kuljettaen mitä erilaisimpia ja yleensä toinen toistaan ärsyttävämpiä asiakkaita elättääkseen itsensä sekä Meksikon puolelle autiomaahan piilotetun vanhan mentorinsa, professori Charles Xavierin. Professori X:ää pidetään puolitajuttomassa tilassa, telepaattiset kyvyt ovat heikentyneet vanhenevien aivojen rappion myötä. Wolverinen erityisherkät aistit ovat myös vain muisto entisestään, eikä yli satavuotias kroppa enää jaksa parantua entiseen tahtiin. Miehen luustoon upotettu adamantium pääsee nyt myrkyttämään muutenkin raihnaistuvaa kroppaa. Wolverine on antautunut kohtaloonsa, mutta kaikki muuttuu nuoren Laura-tytön ilmestyessä kolmikon elämään. Laura uskoo, että mutanteilla on vielä turvapaika ja Logan suostuu Lauran matkaan lähinnä professori X:n mieliksi, vaikka uskookin reissun olevan tuhoon tuomittu.

Narrated through first-hand accounts from the cowboys themselves, the story is steeped in authenticity and explores the rewards and hardships of a celebrated but misunderstood way of life, including the challenges that lie ahead for the cowboys critical to providing the world's supply of beef. “COWBOYS” was filmed on eight of the nation’s largest cattle ranches across ten states in the American West.
