Film Rio je příběhem vzácného papouška jménem Blu, který žije na malém městě se svoji paničkou Lindou, s níž tvoří nerozlučnou dvojku. Linda ho před léty zachránila před pašeráky, kteří ho ještě jako papouščí miminko ulovili uprostřed brazilského pralesa a odvezli do zasněžené Minessoty. Blu se kvůli tomu sice nikdy nenaučil létat, ale v bezpečí a pohodlí Lindina domova se natolik zabydlel, že pro něj není problém uvařit kávu, připravit snídani, vyčistit si zuby nebo posloužit Lindě jako její osobní budík. Když jednoho dne Linda a Blu zjistí, že Blu není posledním papouškem svého druhu na světě, jak si až doposud mysleli, neváhají a vydají se na cestu do exotické Brazílie za papoušicí Perlou, která žije v samotném srdci Rio de Janeira. Krátce po jejich setkání jsou ale Blu a Perla uneseni skupinou obchodníků se zvířaty. Za pomoci chytré a životem na ulici zocelené Perly a partičky upovídaných městských ptáků se jim sice podaří uprchnout, ale vyhráno rozhodně nemají..

Mom tells him what a no-account his dad really was, setting sail for Hawaii ("no, Maw, it was Catalina") right after the kids were born. Peter is unswayed, and takes off. He turns a barrel into a boat, and crews it with an annoyingly talkative duckling, then sets sail on a lake. They get caught in a thunderstorm (the duck loves it). Peter calls for help and momma comes running, but the duck has already saved him. But he still wants to be a sailor.
It's a peaceful day at the local poultry farm until Foxy Loxy happens along intent on a chicken dinner. He takes the advice of a book on psychology by striking "the least intelligent" first and convinces dim witted Chicken Little the sky is falling. Chicken Little spreads the word but when head man Cocky Locky proves the story to be false, Foxy Loxy spreads rumors that Cocky Locky isn't the smart chicken he appears to be, which leads to the ultimate undoing of the chickens at the hands of Foxy Loxy.

Tom se vydá chytit a sníst spícího kanárka. Jerry jde ven a připravuje se na nový den, když si všimne, jak vulgárně se Tom chová. Když Tom ukradne kanárka v kleci, Jerry podrazí kočku a Tom o kanárka přijde. Klec se skutálí na strom, což kanárkem otřese a probudí ho. Catsello finally resorts to an air strike (with a pair of wooden boards for wings), but it's wartime, and Orson has the cat blasted out of the sky by anti-aircraft guns.
