The realistic chronicles of a working class group of Hispanic youth, with heavy subject matter like sex, drug dealing, teen pregnancy, abuse, drinking, rape, deception, and heartbreak.

This sitcom soap opera tells the story of a simple mixed Betawi and Sundanese family, namely the Bajuri and Oneng families, who earn just barely because the husband is just a bajaj driver while the wife runs a small salon. They live at home with Eti, Oneng's mother, who is usually called Emak. Their simple lives and their surrounding environment are shown to illustrate the situation of the suburban communities in Jakarta.

The heartwarming yet uncomfortable relationship between three adult siblings: one in the 1%, one middle-class and one barely holding on.

The story revolves around a girl belonging to a lower-middle-class family and, studying in college she is often looked down upon her parents which concentrate on the education of their son who they wish to become a doctor.
