Epická bitka pokračuje! Filmový Monsterverse sa rozrastá o pokračovanie explozívneho súboja medzi Godzillou a Kongom úplne novým dobrodružstvom, ktoré postaví všemocného Konga a obávanú Godzillu proti kolosálnej neobjavenej hrozbe ukrytej v našom svete, ktorá ohrozuje ich existenciu - a tiež našu vlastnú. Film odhalí históriu týchto titánov a ich pôvod, rovnako ako aj tajomstvá Dutej Zeme a ďalších miest, pričom odhaľuje mýtickú bitku, ktorá pomohla sformovať tieto výnimočné bytosti a navždy ich spojila s ľudstvom.
Príbeh filmu sa odohráva v období po druhej svetovej vojne, keď je Japonsko na dne svojich síl. Lenže z jadrového spadu Hirošimy a Nagasaki povstáva veľké monštrum menom Godzilla, ktorá zaútočí pár týždňov po skončení vojny a dostane Japonsko ešte do väčších problémov. Podarí sa zničeným ľuďom prežiť... nieto sa brániť?
Godzilla, gigantický netvor, vznikla zmutovaním po atómových skúškach v Tichomorí. Toto monštrum sa zrazu vynára z hlbín oceánu, aby zmenilo New York a ostatné mestá na ruiny. Armáda je bezmocná a osud obyvateľstva je v rukách mladého vedca Nicka Tatopoulosa, ktorý pred vznikom podobného monštra už varoval dávno a v rukách vyšetrovateľa Philippeho Roachého. Času však neostáva veľa, pretože nebezpečná Godzilla nielen že pustoší mesto, ale chystá sa priviesť na svet aj mláďatá a to sa nesmie stať, pretože to by bol koniec ľudskej civilizácie...
Príbeh sleduje hrdinské úsilie členov kryptozoologickej agentúry Monarch odraziť útok gigantických tvorov, vrátane impozantnej Godzilly, ktorá čelí prerastenému motýľovi - Mothre, vtáčiemu Rodanovi, ale aj svojmu najväčšiemu nepriateľovi, ktorým je trojhlavý drak Kráľ Ghidorah. Keď tieto predpotopné druhy, považované za mýty a stáročia ukrývané po celej planéte, opäť povstanú, začne sa boj o nadvládu a existencia ľudstva bude visieť na vlásku.
Legendy sa stretnú vo filme Godzilla vs. Kong a osud sveta bude visieť na vlásku. King Kong sa svojimi ochrancami vydá na nebezpečnú cestu, aby našiel skutočný domov. Neočakávane sa však ocitnú v ceste rozzúrenej Godzille, ktorá ničí planétu. When a massive, gilled monster emerges from the deep and tears through the city, the government scrambles to save its citizens. A rag-tag team of volunteers cuts through a web of red tape to uncover the monster's weakness and its mysterious ties to a foreign superpower. But time is not on their side - the greatest catastrophe to ever befall the world is about to evolve right before their very eyes.
In an alternate timeline the original Godzilla is never defeated and repeatedly reemerges to feed on Japan's energy sources. A new inter-dimensional weapon called the Dimension Tide is created with the intent of eliminating Godzilla. However, the new weapon might also serve as a gateway to something far more sinister.

Meanwhile, a giant egg is discovered along with a new monster called Rodan. The egg is soon found to be none other than an infant Godzillasaurus.
A burning Godzilla, on the verge of meltdown, emerges to lay siege to Hong Kong. At the same time horrifying new organisms are discovered in Japan. These crustacean-like beings are seemingly born of the Oxygen Destroyer, the weapon that killed the original Godzilla.
A mysterious extraterrestrial being resembling Godzilla rapidly approaches Earth. The monster, dubbed SpaceGodzilla, lands to challenge the King of the Monsters.
With no means for defeating Godzilla Earth, mankind watches as King Ghidorah, clad in a golden light, descends on the planet. The heavens and earth shake once again as the war moves to a higher dimension.

The machine is discovered to harbor the restless soul of the original monster as Akane must learn to find value in her own life as well.
Mothra's dark counterpart, Battra, emerges to eliminate humanity on behalf of the Earth. Two tiny fairies called the Cosmos offer their help by calling Mothra to battle the creature. Unfortunately a meteorite has awoken a hibernating Godzilla as a three way battle for the Earth begins.
The advertising director of Pacific Pharmaceuticals, frustrated with the low ratings of their sponsored TV program, seeks a more sensationalist approach. He orders his staff to Faro Island to capture King Kong for exploitation. As Godzilla re-emerges, a media frenzy generates with Pacific looking to capitalize off of the ultimate battle.
Humanity's desperate battle to reclaim the Earth from Godzilla continues. The key to defeating the King of the Monsters may be Mechagodzilla, a robotic weapon thought to have been lost nearly 20,000 years ago.
Two fishing scout pilots make a horrifying discovery when they encounter a second Godzilla alongside a new monster named Anguirus. Without the weapon that killed the original, authorities attempt to lure Godzilla away from the mainland. But Anguirus soon arrives and the two monsters make their way towards Osaka as Japan braces for tragedy.
