Pour Do Bae Man (Ahn Bo Hyun), devenir procureur militaire n'a jamais été autre chose qu'un moyen de s'enrichir et de réussir sur le plan personnel et professionnel. Un homme capable de réussir dans tout ce qu'il entreprend, Bae Man a en effet acquis le succès et la richesse, mais sans rien de plus pour le motiver, il lui manque la conviction nécessaire pour devenir vraiment grand. Cha Woo In (Jo Bo Ah), en revanche, a toute la conviction nécessaire pour devenir un vrai grand procureur militaire. Bien que certains puissent la considérer comme une recrue qui n'a obtenu son poste que grâce à la richesse et aux relations de sa famille, elle est en fait une enquêtrice hautement qualifiée qui pourrait facilement surpasser des vétérans qui ont plus de deux fois son âge. Ayant grandi dans l'opulence, Woo In ne craint pas le pouvoir et n'a pas peur de s'élever contre ceux qui utilisent leur position à des fins malhonnêtes.
Legend of the Patriots is a remake of the 1975 South Korean drama Comrades. Its production was spawned to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the Korean War. The story centers around the lives of eleven Korean soldiers fighting in the Korean War. Director Kim Sang-hwi remarked that the series is not about the ideologies of South and North Korea, but rather focuses on the struggles of ordinary people who lived through the war.

Jang Woo returns on the eve of their wedding, and the two are briefly, painfully united, but the eruption of war tears them apart once again, forcing him to fight alongside Tae Ho on top of everything. Jang Woo keeps fighting to get back to his love, but the war continues to find new ways to keep them apart.
