César Neira, an almost forgotten Spanish actor, gets involved by chance with Teresa, a teacher from a small village in the province of Cáceres, who has won a radio contest. The prize is a trip to Madrid to experience just for a fortnight the life of the famous and wealthy people.

They get a chance when killings plague the fashion photography studio of Ralph McCormick (Edmund Lowe). After his secretary, Julie Taylor(Anita Louise) reports an attempt to murder her there, Erika McCormick's (Ann Savage) Aunt Isabel Fleming (Mary Forbes) is stabbed and the evidence points to Madge Lawrence (Bess Flowers) an older model and an apparent suicide. Police Inspector Joseph Clinton (Frank Craven) declares the case closed...but then Erika is murdered.

È praticamente un film a episodi (genere poco usato nella commedia americana) imperniati sulla trasmissione televisiva "La regina del giorno". Protagonisti dei primi 2 sono due ragazzi infelici, del 3° una zitella brutta ma dal cuore d'oro. Un po' sdolcinato e teso alla facile commozione, ma i personaggi sono ben delineati.
