30'ların Amerika'sında Rock dağlarında bir kasabadayız. Peşindeki gangsterlerden kaçan güzeller güzeli Grace, bir kasabaya sığınmak zorunda kalır. Kadına acıyan kasaba halkı, başlangıçta iyi niyetlerle kadına sahip çıkar ve arasına alır. After a retirement party thrown for her by her male colleagues, she tells her story of being a rubble-woman in post-war Germany.
