Legend of Crystania tem lugar no mundo da fantasia do mesmo que o OVA e a série de TV de Record of Lodoss War e Mahou Senshi Louie, embora em um continente diferente. Centra-se na terra que Ashram navega depois da série, um mundo chamado Crystania que está sob o domínio dos deuses animais. Ashram é agora o rei do povo de Marmo, a maldita ilha em Record of Lodoss War. A fim de garantir um futuro para seu povo, assim como sua companheira Pirotess, Ashram é forçado a fazer um pacto com um deus do mal chamado Barbas. A maior parte da trama em Crystania é em torno de Pirotess (agora chamada Sheru) em busca de uma maneira de salvar Ashram sob domínio de Barbas, apesar do personagem principal se chamar Prince Redon.

This movie is the compilation of the mini-parody episode trailers that ran at the end of every Record of Lodoss War: Chronicles of the Heroic Knight episode, which featured characters depicted in their chibi forms.

Dreams begin to haunt Lady Sheru—dreams of her past life as Pirotesse. Her love, Ashram, is being tormented at the hands of the soul of Barbas posing as their former king, Beld of Marmo. Interpreting this as a plea for help, Sheru searches for a way to save him by entering the chaos realm using the Chaos Ring. Meanwhile, Redon and his friends are called to arms again as ancient creatures begin to appear after being sealed away for centuries. Both their paths will cross once again, and on their shoulders will the fate of Crystania lie.
