Makoto Tsukimito (surnommé Smile) est un lycéen calme, lié d'amitié avec l'énergique Yukata Hoshino (surnommé Peco) depuis son enfance. Ils sont tous les deux membres du club de Ping Pong local et possèdent tous deux un talent naturel pour ce dernier. Cependant, la personnalité de Smile l'empêche toujours de gagner contre Peco. Le professeur supervisant le club remarque le talent de Smile, et tente de lui faire gagner un peu de ténacité sportive.

L'histoire suit les aventures d'un club de ping-pong un peu particulier : les joueurs sont en effet plus portés « sur la culotte » et les blagues obscènes que sur le jeu. L'arrivée d'Iwashita, nouveau responsable du club, permet de changer les choses, ce dernier parvenant tant bien que mal à intéresser ses joueurs indisciplinés au ping-pong. Une mission difficile tant les tentations du monde extérieur sont grandes pour nos protagonistes.
