Yuki Sanada has always felt like a fish out of water. Socially awkward and anxious, he struggles to fit in with his surroundings and moves from town to town with his grandma. As he and his grandma settle into the charming seaside town of Enoshima, Yuki hopes for a fresh start. However, his reputation at school is jeopardized by the arrival of fellow transfer student Haru. The eccentric Haru immediately makes a splash, wildly claiming to be an alien and declaring that Yuki is his friend. Pairing the reluctant Yuki with their classmate and fishing talent, Natsuki Usami, he tasks both of them with the absurd mission of saving the world from a mysterious threat in the ocean. Mischief and hijinks ensue, as these three embark on a whimsical adventure filled with laughs, heart, and self-discovery!

De Outclub gaat op reis! De Outdoor Activiteiten Club, ook wel de Outclub genoemd, heeft 3 leden. Op het platteland van de prefectuur Yamanashi staat een middelbare school genaamd Motosu High School. Ga nog verder naar een van de schoolgebouwen en je zult een zeer relaxte buitenclub vinden die een hoek van het klaslokaal als clubruimte gebruikt.
Hina Tsurugi en haar familie zijn net verhuisd naar een schilderachtig kustplaatsje. In de hoop te genieten van de aanblik van de vredige oceaan, stuit Hina op een meisje genaamd Yuuki Kuroiwa – een hogere klas op haar nieuwe school – die Hina uitnodigt om met haar mee te gaan vissen. Hina haalt een octopus binnen, die op haar valt; omdat ze bang is voor insecten en grote wezens, raakt ze in paniek en smeekt Yuuki om het van haar af te halen. Yuuki ziet dit als een kans om Hina te dwingen lid te worden van de Breakwater Club van de school - een club waar leden als hoofdactiviteit verschillende soorten zeeleven verzamelen, vangen en eten. Hoewel haar pogingen om te weigeren mislukken, begint Hina langzaamaan de verborgen vreugde in vissen te ontdekken. Haar kijk op de sport verandert en ze kijkt nu uit naar alle mooie ervaringen die ze samen met haar clubgenoten mag beleven.
Dit is het verhaal van een winterdag. Kagamihara Nadeshiko, een vrouwelijke middelbare scholier die van Shizuoka naar Yamanashi verhuisde, fietste om de berg Fuji te zien, maar helaas was het bewolkt en is de berg Fuji niet te zien. Moe valt Nadeshiko ter plekke in slaap en wordt 's nachts wakker. Dit is de eerste keer dat ze daarheen gaat en ze wist niet hoe ze terug moest komen.
Gelukkig redt Shima Rin, een meisje dat van kamperen houdt, haar. Ze staken een vreugdevuur aan om op te warmen en het geluid van het laaiende brandhout doordringt de stilte van het meer.
