À Dresde en 1937, le tout jeune Kurt Barnet visite, grâce à sa tante Elisabeth, l’exposition sur "l’art dégénéré" organisée par le régime nazi. Il découvre alors sa vocation de peintre. Dix ans plus tard en RDA, étudiant aux Beaux-arts, Kurt peine à s'adapter aux diktats du « réalisme socialiste ». Tandis qu'il cherche sa voix et tente d’affirmer son style, il tombe amoureux d'Ellie. Mais Kurt ignore que le père de celle-ci, le professeur Seeband, médecin influent, est lié à lui par un terrible passé. Épris d’amour et de liberté, ils décident de passer à l’Ouest…

Although Fritz yields right-of-way to her remarkably often, the two have not spoken to each other. In order to finally get to know him better, Helene deliberately performs a traffic violation. Her plan is working: She is ordered to take road safety education lessons from Fritz and they get closer. New problems arise in the shape of Mrs. Messmer who must pay a monetary fine. She feels discriminated against by Fritz and complains about him to his supervisor.

Most of Max's friends have their own channels on YouTube, some even quite successfully. Max and his gang are dubious role models but without a doubt, they are celebrities of their generation having more than 300.000 active fans. Is Max a violence-glorifying influencer with far-right tendencies or a usual adolescent, just trying to find himself and happens to be born into a time where the lines between private life and public self-display are blurring? He might be both, possibly without being overly aware of it.

Année 1763, la guerre de Sept Ans est sur le point de se terminer.
