في عام 1976 تعيش الطفلة (ماري) في مدينة ملبورن بأستراليا، وتحيا حياة كئيبة؛ حيث إنها ابنة (نورمان) المنعزل غريب الأطوار، ووالدتها المدمنة على الكحول، والمصابة بداء السرقة، تطلب منها المدرسة كتابة خطاب إلى شخص يعيش في نيويورك، فتختار عشوائياً (ماكس) المصاب بالسمنة المفرطة، والرهاب الاجتماعي، تنمو بينهما صداقة عميقة، يتبادلان فيها الرسائل، وتحاول (ماري) مساعدته.
An unemployed pot-smoking slacker and amateur drummer, Anthony Stoner ditches his strict parents and hits the road, eventually meeting kindred spirit Pedro de Pacas. While the drug-ingesting duo is soon arrested for possession of marijuana, Anthony and Pedro get released on a technicality, allowing them to continue their many misadventures and ultimately compete in a rock band contest, where they perform the raucous tune "Earache My Eye."
تدور احداث الفيلم حول (راهول) شاب يدرس في الجامعة ، لديه صديقة مفضلة في الجامعة تدعي (أنجلي) ، وهي تحبه كثيرا ، ولكنة لم يلاحظ ذلك ، حتى جاءت (تينا) ابنة مدير الجامعة ، والتي كانت تدرس في (لندن) ، وقد خطفت قلب (راهول) من النظرة الأولى ، وقد تعذبت (أنجلي) كثيرا عندما اخبرها (راهول) بحبه (لتينا) ، فقررت (أنجلي) أن تترك البلدة وتذهب لتعيش فى بيت أهلها ، حتى تزوج (راهول) من (تينا) ، وأنجب (أنجلي) الصغيرة ، وماتت (تينا) ، واتفقت (أنجلي) ابنته مع جدتها أن يجمعا بين أبيها ، وصديقته (أنجلي) بأية طريقة حتى يتزوجا ، وتنفذ وصية والدتها ، ولكن عندما يقرر (راهول) أن يذهب ليطلب يد (أنجلي) يتفاجأ بأنها سوف تتزوج ، فيحاول منع الزواج بأية طريقة .
Four small gangsters from Copenhagen trick a gangster boss: they take over 4,000,000 kroner which they were supposed to bring him. Trying to escape to Barcelona they are forced to stop in the countryside, in an old, wrecked house, hiding there for several weeks.
