小學生南束 直太居住在平凡的地方都市「疏瀬」。某天他的平靜生活被突然出現的騎著Vespa的謎樣少女春原 晴子打亂了。兩人第一次見面時，晴子就用她藍色的老式Rickenbacker 4001左手式的低音電吉他，擊中了直太的頭，將他打飛出去，之後直太又震驚地發現晴子以女傭的名義住進了自己的家中。

從那起，直太的額頭就開始長出各種奇妙的角，而來自醫療器械製造商Medical Mechanica工廠的巨型機器人則不斷地從直太頭上的角中跑出來，引發了各種的事件。由於直太的頭是僅有的一個能夠開啟的、機器人傳送用的「N.O.超空間通道」，所以晴子也利用直太的「N.O.通道」一直在尋找著海盜王Atomsk，並不斷地和Medical Mechanica工廠作戰。同時，直太也一直被特殊入國指揮官亞麻 羅宇監視，他認為Medical Mechanic工廠正試圖征服銀河系。隨著事態的發展，直太被捲入了——春原晴子，特殊入國管理官亞麻羅宇，以及Medical Mechanica工廠——三方的爭鬥中。而故事的潛在主題則是直太即將迎來的成長，並開始表述他自身的想法。
