En natt sommaren 1942 flyger ett brittiskt bombplan vilse på väg tillbaka från Tyskland och blir nedskjutet över Paris. De tre besättningsmännen hoppar ut med fallskärm och hamnar på tre vitt skilda ställen i Paris. I sina försök att hålla sig gömda från tyskarna tvingar de två helt oskyldiga Parisbor, målaren Augustin Bouvet och dirigenten Stanislas Lefort, att hjälpa dem.

It is based on upon the memoir Mémoires d'un agent secret de la France libre et La Ligne de démarcation by Gilbert Renault under his pseudonym Colonel Rémy. A small village in the Jura is split by the river Loue which creates the line of demarcation between Nazi occupied France and freedom. A French officer, Pierre, is released by the Nazi soldiers to find his chateau converted into a German command centre. Whilst he is obliged to co-operate with the enemy, his wife Mary supports the resistance movement and is willing to risk her life for it. The Nazis step up their activity against the resistance, insisting that any who attempt to cross the line of demarcation will be shot. When his wife is arrested, Pierre decides to switch his allegiance.

In preparation for Operation Overlord, the Allied invasion of Nazi occupied territory, the 'overlords' were the few Allied agents who knew the details of the operation. When one them is captured by the Germans, a double agent must infiltrate occupied Paris, with the help of a high level German officer and the French Resistance.

Platsen är Madame Greniers lyxbordell i Paris, där de sexiga flickorna gör allt för att ge de tyska officerarna en svindlande stund. Men inte på det sätt som de hoppats på! Bordellen är nämligen försedd med livsfarliga katapultsängar som får nassesvinen att flyga hädan! Men vågar tjejerna sig på självaste Hitler?

In Paris, in 1942, on a Thursday, the Parisian police herded together some 13,000 Jews for deportation to German territory. In this story, Paul (Christian Rist) is a teenager who tries to prevent this from happening. At first he attempts to save two elderly Jews, but they are resigned to their fate and comply with the order to assemble. For a short while, he is able to keep Jeanne (Christine Pascal) from joining them, but, after a long and strenuous day, she finally escapes from him he is too tired to chase after her.

A group of ex-resistance fighters are brought together by Marie-Octobre, the code name of Marie-Helene Dumoulin. The former members of the network have carried on with their lives after the war, but this evening they are going to have to live again a fateful night – the night their leader was killed. He had been betrayed, his name given to the Germans. The search for the traitor puts each personality in the spotlight – and also that of the killed leader, Castille.
