Jessie Sula of M. Night's Split may be the star of this interesting horror. What's really striking about this, aside from it looking genuinely disturbing, is that the filmmakers seem interested in cobbling together something feeling somewhat "original." As contrived & formulaic as the horror genre is nowadays, Malum's trailer at least stands out from all that sh*t.
Go, Jessica.

It's just a remake of his earlier movie, Last Shift. Money grab anyone?

Ah, it actually felt like such to me, on some level. Still, the writers seem to be out of that stale paranormal zone that I am so weary of.
Peace!

It's the same people & basically the same story. How is that not stale? I haven't seen either but...?

I do think you missed my point, brat. Malum, the film under discussion, at least feels “fresher” to me than another Paranormal Activity, Scream sequel, possession movie, etc. would. If you get it, you get it, and if you don’t, you don’t.

I guess I was wrong. I peeped a pentagram in a recent trailer for the film. I guess it does deal with the paranormal. My bad!
