There is no rule -> but you can vote and hope that's enough! Like this -> you go to this page:

Go with the cursor on the image that you want as the main poster. Do you see the thumbs left and right ? Click on the thumb up.

This means that you voted this poster up - and it's often very likely that it becomes the main poster.

I did that thing, but nothing happens. I don´t know which are the real points for every image.

Haha, I swear, I did nothing!

I don't really know how this works, technically. I guess it often works because not a lot of people vote for images in general so your vote counts. I'm glad it worked in this case!
