Thanks. I found the movie with both titles: The Great Train Robbery and The First Great Train Robbery. IMDB it sait: The First Great Train Robbery (original title). PS: Same with the german title. Currently the title on tmdb is "Der grosse Eisenbahnraub" but on IMDB the german title is: "Der erste große Eisenbahnraub". Maybe we should wait for more input from more experienced users/mods. By all means, do all the consulting you want: the more the merrier as they say...;o) IMO that word "first" was added after the fact as a (bad) way to differentiate it from newer reboot.

I've just looked at opening credit myself (no "first" there), then there's also the movie poster.

BTW: I am unsure german title would help add any conclusiveness for a UK film with anglo-saxon actors. My 5 cents...

Hi, this one is a simple case for original title. It's a UK movie so that title goes as original. US title goes as alternative. It's the same for the first Harry Potter movie, to use an even more notable example. I know this can be frustrating, but that's how we operate.

I would suspect most versions out there would be based on the the US version. So if you have an original UK version of the movie I would expect the title to be the one used as original here.
