I recently heard this film referenced, but the title didn't ring a bell even as I wondered if it was the "God's vengeance" movie (as my mind titled it, lol). After watching it again--and really enjoying it again--I wondered about the title. I'm wondering others may think it refers to?

A few connections I see is: the frailty of our lives; the thin veneer beneath which many of us hide our sin/demons; and the weakness of mankind in contrast to God.

If I'm not mistaken, I was so struck by this film on my first viewing many years ago that I did a bit of reading and one of the creators said he wanted to play with the general concept "What if the Old Testament were true?" and this is what developed. Great film!
