Should Don't Hug Me, I'm Scared be a series of short film (and hence movie) entries on TMDb? Or should they be treated as episodes of a web series (and hence, put in a tv entry on TMDb)?
Right now it's the former. But should it be?
On the official kick starter (that seems to have funded the production of Don't Hug Me, I'm Scared 3 to 6), the videos are repeatedly referred to as "episodes" (with a quick search, seemingly 65 mentions of the word "episode"): https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1127979050/dont-hug-me-im-scared-the-series/description. Is this reason to believe it should be treated as a web series?
On the official google plus account the banner reads "DHMIS" and under that "NEW EPISODES COMING...". On November the 1st, 2014, a post was also made that reads: "Happy Halloween!! here's Episode 3........" :https://plus.google.com/u/0/101426116561447199707. Is the use of the word "episode" not indicative of an episodic nature of the videos- and hence not as individual movies but as part of one (tv) series?
Or, is it because the videos have been shown and won awards in film festivals that they are considered a series of short films? Or can videos be considered "episodes" and "episodic in nature" when they are part of a short film series?
Just curious, especially since, there is a TVDb entry on DHMIS.
