Redemption is the US title; it was released as Hummingbird in the United Kingdom. It is a US-UK co-production, but I think the film got released in the UK first.

I agree it makes sense to use Hummingbird as the original title. It was the working title, the title used on most foreign posters and the main production company is in the UK. And, according to a few article, the US distributor chose to "Americanize" the title.
