I always felt this one was such a come-down if you enjoyed 3 and 4 a lot. I know they wanted to get back the feel of the original by making this one darker and more grounded in reality but it's pretty jarring considering it picks up right where 4 leaves off.

The going broke & the son not getting attention was a huge downer. Not sure why they made our hero fall. Just didnt like seeing Rocky in that state. Not to mention he couldnt fight anymore and had to take jobs cleaning gyms.

I prefer to ignore V in the Rocky continuity.

It was not bad but also not that good.

Seeing Rocky end up brain damaged and broke was very disappointing after he came so far and achieved so much success in life.

One thing I love about this character is his ability to be put down and get RIGHT BACK UP! Despite it ending with Rocky STILL broke & his star pupil betraying him, he still had his heart...his family...IMO it gets worse in 6 & finaloy Creed where he pretty much loses ALL his family & is pretty much just waiting to die!Pretty disheartening for a character who's heart is as big as Gold! And yet he FOUGHT back yet again..this time against Cancer in Creed & redeemed himelf with a star pupil with a heart as big as his (where Tommy Gun failed, Creed succeeded).
This series is so awesome and I'm kinda glad it continues on til this day! Hope Creed 2 doesn't screw it up somehow!

It is the worst Rocky movie, but it had good scenes! LOVE THE STREET FIGHT!!!

Yeah, the street fight reminded me of a late 90's-early 00's WWE hardcore match. I thought Rocky was going to grab a steel chair and bash Tommy.
It was not a good movie, but I didn't hate it either. Some of the moments (as with a lot of Rocky moments) were too silly to be taken seriously, and I can laugh at them.

It's my third favourite of the Rocky Series, after the first 2.

nice. It's very underrated and deserves more attention.
