It's not like being a criminal where you just decide to be a criminal. In most cases they were abused as kids and their wiring becomes all sorts of screwed up.

With the other characters, you're left to make up your own mind about their moral dilemmas, their choices, their situations, etc... With, Ronnie, the perv, the movie seems to tell you how to feel...
