For a time travel movie, its kind of cool that the 'current day' encapsulated an era that was very special looking back.
From water parks to bowling to a cool mall, 7-11, hip high-school, this seemed to sum up the lifestyle of middle class america.

Thanks. I'd heard of the movie and thought 'I should see that' a long time ago and never did.

Definitely. Chuck E. Cheese, aerobics, and having to take score ourselves when we went bowling. I always think it's strange when people call Back to the Future "the ultimate 80s movie" when 80% of that movie is set in the 1950s (and designed to look like the 1940s).
