RIP GENERAL CHANG(Christopher Plummer)

Today at the age of 91 movie star Christopher Plummer died at his home in Conneticut. Star Trek fans will remember him for his great role as Klingon General Chang in Star Trek VI The Undiscovered Country. Plummer appeared in over 200 roles and in a diversity of characters as Captain von Trapp in The Sound Of Music ,Emperor Commodus in the very underrated Fall Of The Roman Empire,as Pilot in The Battle For Britain,playing the Duke Of Wellington in Waterloo,as the master thief Sir Charles Litton in The Return Of The Pink Panther,playing Kipling in The Man Who Would Be King and numerous other roles in movies like Murder By Decree,Hanover Street,Dreamscape,Dragnet, And later in his career became appreciated for various notable characters in such high profile movies as Wolf,12 Monkeys,The Insider,A Beautiful Mind, National Treasure,Alexander,Syriana,Inside Man,The Imaginarium Of Doctor Parnassus(Heath Ledger's Last role),The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo and Beginners which finally won him his one and only Oscar for best male role.RIP Christopher Plummer (1929-2021)

According to his friend Terry Gilliam, he hated The Sound of Music.
Gilliam said they better not play Edelweiss at his funeral. "It would kill him."

And, while he may have despised The Sound of Music, he was a devout Trekkie. As he said to William Shatner, “I was living in England all through the 1960s, but I watched you on television over and over again.”
