I just caught this for the first time and I liked it. It had some really creepy moments. I remember seeing the trailers when it was first released and thought it looked pretty good. I was a bit surprised. I didn't think I would enjoy it as much as I did.

I happen to think that Crimson Peak is one of the better movies I have seen in the last few months. I have seen a lot of movies recently and this washed away the taste of some the bad movies I have seen.

This movie did leave me hanging with a few questions. Like......Did Thomas & Lucille really have a baby together? And when Edith went thru those photo's of Thomas's previous wife, was that her child she was holding? Lucille's child? And if it wasn't Lucille's child, did Lucille and Thomas murder said child? I might be look to much into this, but the intricate story line does leave some VERY vague holes that leads to some questions. I might have not caught some of the small bit's of info that I keep wondering about, but there were points where the movie just glossed over some things.

Best part though, Thomas really did fall in love with Edith. That turned me into a sap in minutes <3

Yes, they did. Lucille says "it was born wrong" but she really wanted to keep "it", so Enola tried her best to save the child but to no avail.

I'd been wanting to watch this film since it came out and now, that I finally have, I'll probably forget about it in less than a week. The settings are great, Tom Hiddlestone is always nice to look act, I get the idea we all have our ghosts even if they're not as corporeal as the ones inhabiting that house, but somehow it failed to grab my attention. Is it too bad that I was laughing during most of the last scenes? And it wasn't even the kind of nervous laughter that helps ease things up when we're confronted by something that really bothers us, no, the whole thing reminded me of a few over-gory horror comedies that actually make fun of these kind of movies.
