A tedious display of protracted, mind numbing hyper-violence. What do you think?

Let the games begin.

Are we talking about the film, or the board D?

The film of course. I'm being a bit hyperbolic but, I did find Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice to be about as tedious and contrived as its title.

The board is rather cozy at the moment.

It might be, and I stress the word MIGHT here, that BvS doesn't have the large number or has attracted a larger number of pragmatists willing or even able to hold a conversation to defend the movie because they are exhausted? BvS , Warner, Anti-Disney and Anti-Marvel zealots have yet to descend on this site but give them time.

I am curious as to if any site will reach a critical mass of users given how the IMDB message community blew itself up into little cliques, clans and fiefdoms.

BvS , Warner, Anti-Disney and Anti-Marvel zealots have yet to descend on this site but give them time.

The arithmetic of hate and Pro DCEU sentiment doesn't quite add up here, Norrin. There are far more opportunistic and high-value targets available elsewhere (comicbookmovie.com, superherohype.com, etc). Until these forums start getting indexed in Google searches, I think we're going to have the run of the place (as well behaved citizens of the board of course).

Welcome to the new age of civilized discussion.

The amount of vocab being used here sweat_smile

Welcome to the new age of civilized discussion.

Chaos messaging has become the new norm and IMDB, comicbookmovie.com, superherohype.com and just overall public discourse has been slowly devolving into a form of feigned Free-Speech advocates. I am not suggesting that a majority of the BvS ardent fanbase are Free-Speechers but many seem to want to be victims against in what they believe to be an unfair playing field tilted towards family values, kids, toys, fluff, safe, etc, etc.

As a light-weight film collector I do own BvS and I did see it on opening day. Did I enjoy the film? No. For me there was little joy in the film to be derived. BvS didn't just leave me wanting it left me not caring for a Justice League, for a Superman trilogy, for a Flash, etc. During BvS I grew tired of Batman's shtick or whatever it was he called himself doing. I could not even fantasy connect to the make-believe world that was created by Warner/DC for their characters to exist in. Batman's apocalyptic Gotham is so crime ridden that he has grown into a bitter, morals free, unaware anti-hero? Superman's Metropolis is next door and the citizens hero-Worship an aloof demi-god who only wants to protect Lois?! The two cities are next door from each other for goodness sake!!

So I am the last person to really want to visit this board to discuss the merits of BvS or even Warner/DC.

Which is why this entire site and not just this board needs your Rock-Star tone and demeanor as an Agent Provocateur . I realize that you need foils both knowing and unknowing but I trust they will be here. projector

I do have high hopes for dawn of justice...although WW is somehow already getting bad remarks...

For all most everything I prefer to get my own take. I didn't have an expectation for Dawn of justice going in so I wasn't really whelmed, over or under. Wonder Woman I am hopeful but I have a CA:TFA bias going in so I have to manage that expectation.

I've yet to watch BvS all the way through since I purchased the movie on Blu-Ray. I wonder what that says?

Civilized discussion... blasphemy!

Now, having the run of the place where coordinated discussion, and rebellious feedback about a lacklustre film can be seen with an objective perspective - I just won't stand for it.

That being said, yes. There will be the occasional gripe and oft thrown insult to those who greatly disagree - but overall this is, and should remain a cozy little hideaway from the dceu zealots who feel the compulsion and overwhelming neeeeeeedddddd to try and persuade otherwise.

Who'd have thought, while Bill and Ted strived to create a song to save the world... a simple movie would such be the thing to divide and destroy us. It's up to them now, the righteously awesome duo, to carve and weave a tune so spectacular that it's operatic overture, its rhythm of rhyme and reason, point its finger at the cause of the mayhem and say "no more" - and he Zack of the Snyder, fade back to obscurity.

You two are courting and baiting the Zealots who will descend upon this board.... at the moment I have no movie quote that I'd like to use here. Hold that thought. I need to run an errand and complete a few tasks around the house.

How long do you think it will take before the first DCEU zealot appears with a $2B prophecy for The Batman? grin

How long do you think it will take before the first DCEU zealot appears with a $2B prophecy for The Batman?

A long time, since that film is never getting made.

Bold words, stranger. You must pardon this humble traveler's skepticism and disbelief. The Batman was promised to us on bended knee by the powers that be. Why wouldn't they make another Batman film? They've practically got it down to a science by now. And the Batman is catnip to love-starved fanboys. sunglasses

I didn't say that they won't make A Batman...just not The Batman.
