That's the way I felt watching Karla. They portrayed her as almost a sympathetic character and a victim, whereas from everything I've read at least, she was as much of an active participant in the crimes her and Paul Bernardo committed together. She (irl) got away with some really terrible things in a plea deal. I read about her and her ex husband's "activities" which were nothing short of reprehensible. That film's portrayal of Homolka also indirectly made me dislike Laura Prepon even more when the last season of Orange Is The New Black came out. I realize that that is pretty unreasonable, yet I can't help but dislike her in every role.

I've read that the real Lana broke up with Brandon as soon as she knew the truth and never helped her after that. Lana even sued filmmakers for putting her on the crime scene. She was far far from wanting to leave town with her and live together.

Oh...i see , why they change the real facts i know this was based on real story and i know it happen to be bad ending but then i get it maybe the director wants to be something more romantic on girl on girl lol i happen to be surprised when lana is a lesbian i said to myself what the hell i didnt believe she is lesbian too this story is same with teena and the girl first deceived. I mean women sometimes can't make a difference their gender lol but two thumbs up for hillary and chleo chemistry their acting is amazing
