Die Gundersons ziehen von Pittsburgh nach Kalifornien. Dort müssen sich die Teenie-Kinder Charlie und Lorie durch den 80er-Jahre Highschool-Alltag schlagen: Charlie verknallt sich in die Schulschönheit, doch deren Freund steht ihm im Weg.
