I'm not a big fan of Ryan Reynolds' schtick. But, finally, this is a movie in which he actually acts instead of trying too hard to be funny and just sounding like a high school kid.
Kudos to him for pulling off this multi-layered role. Was he perfect? Nah, but he didn't have to be - he just had to show that he is capable, and he is.
Now, if only he'd do more.

He was solid in this... Didn't do his Van Wilder routine...
I wish they spent a bit more time fleshing out the Ben Kingsley character, so we could see a bit more of the similarity... But it was good anyway...

I'd have thought Buried was the first film that revealed that Reynolds could actually act. That kickstarted the period when he was actually seen as a contender. Until that period was Green Lanterned into the ground.
