They never made it clear if he had really betrayed her - but I believe he did, so no , I wouldn't forgive Johnny. I found her attempt to make up a scenario whereby he was innocent absolutely pathetic. I can't understand why he could claim the estate of a wife he had divorced. What made him think she needed to give him anything let alone the lions share. That whole scenario was so badly thought out by the writers - it was just silly. I think they should have expanded on her relationship with Lene who was obviously gay - but Nelly obviously wasn't so that was a bit of a puzzle. I don't think the ending was powerful - maybe it was to illustrate the point that Lene made about victims forgiving their abusers - I was fully expecting her to hug him at the station and shoot him at the same time - that would have been more satisfying to me !!!

The main plot is ludicrous and you have to switch your suspension-of-disbelief mode to "full" to be able to follow (one does not recognise a partner just by the face... what about the hands, the gait, the body language, the smell, etc.)... but once you've done that, amazingly, it works. The atmosphere is well recreated, the trauma of a society where victims and killers coexist smiling in the same old picture. I also found the end compelling, although the death of Lene need to be explained a little more.
