I thought it was both funny and spooky, especially when Carlo gets locked inside the tomb. The way in which he reacted when taking the necklace off Bianca's body and then replacing it by sort of throwing it back as he doesn't want to linger was not only funny but is how I would have reacted.
Then after Arno returns to release Carlo there's a few moments where Carlo suspects him. Really clever.
I found this to be Argento's most comic film, if that's an appropriate term, of those I've seen thus far.
