Discuss Wonder Woman

I know this film has good reviews but I'm just not sure if I can risk seeing this.

Am I making a mistake?

Why not see it and decide for yourself? I thought MoS was okay, BvS was disappointing and SS was a huge missed opportunity, but WW was (in my opinion) actually really rather good. A slow start for DCU but they seem to have finally found their feet.

I think he said why not. Because he thought the other 3 films were terrible. And $15 is a lot of money to waste on poor quality. So it's easy for some people to say 'just see it and decide for yourself.'

I'm kind of in the same boat as Gus. I thought MoS was bad, BvS terrible & SS horrendous. It's hard for me to take anyone seriously, when they say just got spend more of your hard earned money on this universe when they aren't focused on quality.

I'm personally going to give WW a shot, but I will most likely skip JL, because it looks like garbage and Snyder has proven to be a crap director.

Well I was in your boat. I think it actually helps. I went in with VERY low expectations and was pleasantly surprised. It's not perfect by any stretch but it is genuinely enjoyable and would wholeheartedly recommend it.

though i found enough elements of Suicide Squad enjoyable to give it a pass this is the only one of the four i would call a good movie. i gave it 7/10

i hope it's symptomatic of things to come. these characters deserve better.

The only thing good about Suicide Squirt was Harley Quimms ass 😋

I think DC is putting out half-ssA movies. MoS and BvS weren't very good. SS was even worse. Marvel is whipping DC with superior movies. I do think this movie was a step in the right direction. Its pretty good when you compare it to the other DC movie. Go see it.

I always knew this movie would be good since Snyder wasn't directing it. Same with the upcoming Aquaman. I don't care if he has a hand in the story or even producing, but once he's directing, oh boy.

i refuse to pay to see comic book movies anymore, unless myn friends drag me to one or If i have to take my nephews.. they're ALL quite mediocre (DC, Marvel, Disney, Transformers, whatever..)... i might watch it when it eventually gets shown on TV just to see what all the fuss is about...

Personally I loved MoS, thought DoJ was good but flawed (and the extended version improves it), and thought SS was cast well, looked decent but was a huge missed opportunity for the reasons everyone above has stated.

Wonder Woman is great fun - not perfect but worth your time and money IMO.

Agreed.

So far, every DC movie has basically sucked but sometimes had something awesome to appreciate in it. Like Ledger in TDK or the great fight in MoS. But they all failed to keep that one foot out of the Stupid. Tragic.

BUT ... While Wonder Woman is not a perfect movie, it is the first DC film that manages to not be idiotic. The first 10 minutes were a little tough for me to take as I felt like I was watching a made-for-TV movie from the early 90's but in no time it turned into a pretty damn good film. It does rust a little near the end but overall I enjoyed it. Best DC yet and the only one I would say is well made.

I hated BvS and TDKR. I found some guilty pleasures in BB, TDK, MoS, and SS despite their low quality. I rank WW far above them all as the only decent DC film.

I remember watching MoS and checking my watch every five minutes. I haven't seen that movie since it's theater release in 2013 because I simply can't sit through it. It's underdeveloped main character so different from the source material kinda takes me out of it.

I tried to watch BvS, I really tried. I couldn't see what was going on in the screen in front of me, everything was convoluted and rushed, I couldn't make through the messy storyline and hammed in characters with flimsy motivations, it was horrid. I only saw the first hour, couldn't see if it got better.

Suicide Squad was a film I had high expectations for, and it had so much potential. Everything was a disappointment. Again I stared listlessly at the ugly cinematography and just wondered how good this film might've been, especially since some scenes showed glimmer of what might've happened with better writers, and studios.

I LOVED WONDER WOMAN. It is not without its flaws, of course, but still, it's a fun way to spend the time. During the first act I found it a little slow-moving, but from there the story really kicked in. The action scenes were ridiculous but fun. It enjoys itself, and it's unashamedly sweet and comedy. It perfectly balanced Wonder Woman's compassion with her strength in a way different than most superhero films.

Wonder Woman is definitely in my top superhero films; cause I simply enjoyed it, no strings attached.

I don't know. Chris Pine kind of runs it for me. Why does he even need to be there? Does Wonder Woman really need a male sidekick for the male audiences to be interested?

I was disappointed with MOS/BVS/SS, but at the very least, this movie was good for the first 70% of it for me.
